who we are

Paradosi Ballet Company is the Northwest's first professional Christian Ballet Company. Our company currently consists of 9 classically trained ballet dancers who have a passion for worship and a heart for ministry! Our primary focus is to share the Love of Christ through dance, drama and personal witness.

Paradosi began in August of 2007 with 7 dancers from all over the country. Directors Joel and Tennille Carver both ministered with Ballet Magnificat!, the world’s premier Christian Ballet Company located in Jackson, MS. After 11 years, the Lord called them back to the Seattle area where they were both born and raised. Having a passion for the Northwest, for the arts, and most importantly for their Savior, they began Paradosi. The company ministered and worshipped in over thirty venues during its first year.

Now 9 dancers strong, they currently perform in churches, conferences, theaters, and schools, with a focus on the west coast. As the Lord's vision expands, so does the realm of their territory. In the past few seasons Paradosi was blessed to be called out of their neighborhood to tour the East Coast and France. As doors open and the favor of the Lord leads them, so will they travel.

The Lord's vision expanded and Paradosi opened Surrendered School of the Arts in Puyallup, WA, in January of 2009. Each dancer within the company also has an instrumental role in the school. SSA is passionate about teaching students to use the arts and the gifts they’ve been given to bring honor and glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It also gives them the tools needed to share the Gospel confidently. SSA offers classes in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Drama, Piano, Guitar, Voice, Zumba, and Art, and also organizes monthly Community Outreach projects.
