We usually sleep in churches or dorms with other participants in the various outreach events. Our partners usually request a daily gift to help cover group meals and other outreach expenses that typically ranges from $15 to $75 per night per participant ($25 / night average).

While we are with other teams, most meals are provided by our host; however, as the dietary needs of dancers varies from most people we usually spend an additional $10 to $20 per day per dancer is supplemental food.

We do a lot of walking when we are in the cities but we still need to purchase ground transportation when traveling between stops. Typically we pay an average of $250 per ministry member for train and local metro tickets over the course of a 3 to 4 week outreach tour.

SHOES are an immense expense when we dance on the streets! The surfaces that we are dancing on varies greatly and may include tile, concrete, cobblestones, wood, etc. Each of these surfaces effect dance shoes differently and different types of shoes are needed for each surface.
During our 2019 tour we brought 5-pairs of jazz shoes and additional flat shoes for each dancer and they were all destroyed within the first week with some shoes being torn apart after one outreach set. We needed to scramble to find materials to perform daily shoe repair and ordered additional shoes to be sent to our next stop.
On our next outreach tour we will need to purchase even more shoes than on the last tour. Typically jazz shoes cost around $45 per pair and flat shoes cost $25 per pair. We will spend between $250 to $350 on shoes per dancer per tour.

INCIDENTAL EXPENSES WHILE ON THE ROAD
There are always unexpected expenses while on tour. These expenses can be purchasing toiletries, umbrellas, cosmetics, cold medicine, motion sickness pills, nail clippers, etc. We budget $500 - $750 per tour to purchase these incidental items for the team while on the road.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
We always purchase Travel Medical Insurance for our dancers when going overseas. We qualify for a group rate with missions insurance companies which usually works out to around $125 per dancer. This covers medical, emergency evacuation, lost luggage, missed connections, etc.
