THE  COMPANY

  • Larissa  Bischoff

    Artistic Director

    Eugene, Oregon

Larissa started dancing at the age of three at Hosanna Dance Studio in Eugene, Oregon. At an early age Larissa knew that she would one day dance for Jesus but life took her down a different path away from the God she loved. In December of 2010 Paradosi danced in Eugene while on tour and Larissa fell in love with the ministry. During the outreach event, Larissa felt the Holy Spirit stir within her telling her that she was to leave her past behind and to go dance with Paradosi. Larissa immediately auditioned for the ministry and was asked to join Pardosi in the Fall of 2011 as the ministries first Trainee. During her early years with the ministry, she was taken under the wing of the ministry's founder, Tennille Carver, who mentored and encouraged her growth as an artist, in her spiritual growth, and as a leader. Larissa's passion for the Lord has continued to grow each year and using dance in ministry has only intensified her love of God. Through the good and difficult seasons God was faithful and continued to grow Larissa's heart and mind as an artist, minister of His gospel, and as a leader.  Before accepting the position of Artistic Director, Larissa served as the ministries Trainee Director and Discipleship Director. Her main goal as a leader is to love on the dancers in her care while drawing out their individual gifts and talents encouraging them to grow in those areas and to use them for the glory of God!

After a year in the trainee program Annie was offered a position as an Apprentice with the touring company and in 2020 was promoted to Company Artist. Annie is so thankful to be able to use her dancing to serve her King and to partner with Him in His work. Annie feels privileged to be able to praise His name with dancing and to declare His truth boldly to the world!

  • Amanda  moore

    FACULTY & Soloist

    Upstate - New York

Amanda began dancing at the age of seven at Cedar Arts, in Upsate NY. Her training continued under the direction of Cindy Reid at The Ballet Center of Ithaca and Rafael Grigorian at Rafael Grigorian School of Classical Ballet. During these years Amanda developed a strong love for classical ballet, and had the opportunity to dance lead roles in The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, and Esmeralda. For three seasons Amanda performed with a local Christian ballet company and had the opportunity to dance in Christ centered ballets in local churches, schools, and retirement homes. It was during this time that Amanda first experienced ballet being used in ministry and she fell in love with the idea of leading others to Christ through the art form while at the same time using dance to worship her Savior. Amanda joined Paradosi Ballet in the Spring of 2018 and danced with the ministry for two seasons before taking a sabbatical for a season. Amanda is thrilled to dance again this season and is looking forward to another year of glorifying The Lord through ballet.

  • EmmaLeah  Resleff

    Senior  apprentice

    Puyallup,  Washinton

EmmaLeah began taking ballet classes at the YMCA before continued her training at Surrendered School of Dance. Over the course of several years the Lord placed a passion in her heart for dance. Eventually a desire grew to use dance as a way to show Christ to others and glorify Him. EmmaLeah joined Paradosi in 2019 and after two years as a Trainee was promoted to Senior Apprentice in the ministry. EmmaLeah is excited to be a part of Paradosi and to see where this next season leads.

  • Mikayla  Holmes

    Senior  Apprentice

    Brush Prairie,  Washington

Mikayla began dancing at the age of three, but did not learn how dance can be worshipful and honoring to God until ten years later. Once she became a Christian, dance played a large role in her development as a young disciple. It taught her how disciplining her body and mind can be for the glory of Christ. While she found personal fulfillment in dance, she realized that it was also meant to be shared with others and serves as a unique ministry approach that goes beyond words, cutting straight to eye catching beauty and emotion. Mikayla dances, because it is her heart's desire to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

  • Brooke   Rush

    Apprentice

    Junction City, Oregon

Brooke grew up dancing at Junction City School of Dance and Hosanna Dance, in Oregon. While ballet was a passion of her’s, she hadn’t yet learned what it looked like to worship God through dance. Brooke attended Paradosi’s summer intensive twice, and each time felt the Lord pursuing her and softening her heart. It was during these intensives that she felt a call to be in Tacoma and dance with Paradosi. After graduating high school, Brooke moved to Tacoma to train in Paradosi’s school, Surrendered School of Dance. After two-years in the school, Brooke auditioned for the trainee program. She is so excited to see dreams the Lord planted in her heart years ago come to fruition, and continue to use dance as a way to glorify God and to share how the Lord has worked in her life. Her desire and prayer for her time with this ministry is that people would be moved and hearts would be softened, just as hers was, by the power and goodness of our Father’s love.

  • Kayla  Hamilton

    APPRENTICE

    Corona,  California

Kayla began dancing when she was five-years old in Southern California but did not become serious about pursuing ballet until she was twelve. When Kayla was sixteen, she was given the opportunity to become a substitute teacher at her studio which she gladly accepted. While her mother had always encouraged her to "dance for Jesus", she struggled with the idea of how dancing could be used to help her enter into worship with God. During the summer of 2021, Kayla attended Paradosi's summer dance intensive and during this time God opened her heart to how she could enter into His presence through her dancing. Once she started opening her heart while dancing to God, her mental health greatly improved and her relationship with the LORD was strengthened. Kayla is eager to further growing in her relationship with God as well as improving her dancing while with Paradosi.

  • Haley Griess

    APPRENTICE

    Kent,  Washington

Haley began her dance training when she was four years-old at The British Dancing Academy in Kent, Washington where she completed ten-RAD examinations. After graduating from high school, she continued her dance training at Surrendered School of Dance before auditioning to join the ministry. In 2021 Haley was accepted into Paradosi's Apprenticeship Program and she is ecstatic to be a part of this ministry. She is grateful for this opportunity to dance with Paradosi where she can freely share the hope that she has in Jesus with others through dance. Haley is in awe of God's great love and faithfulness that has been clearly evident throughout her life. Haley praises God for His steadfast love and for the joy that He has given her.

  • Cambria Best

    APPRENTICE

    Spanaway,  Washington

Growing up in Tacoma, Cambria had many opportunities to watch Paradosi dance in worship which always inspired her. In her early years, she performed and choreographed many expressive sign language pieces at her church. Cambria did not start her ballet training until the age of eleven at Surrendered School of Dance. After graduating high school, Cambria felt called to use dance in ministry and in the late Spring of 2021 she auditioned to be a part of Paradosi's Apprenticeship Program. Being a part of a company so full of love and adoration for the Lord has been a dream come true for Cambria. She is so excited to plant seeds in other people's lives the same way that Paradosi planted a seed in her life!

GUEST FACULTY

Paradosi would not run without the knowledge, skills, abilities, and hearts of our faculty and guest faculty members!  Our guest faculty have all served in Paradosi as dancers and know what is needed to thrive as an artist and minister of the Gospel.  We are forever grateful for the contributions that they make to building up the next generation of evangelist minded ballet dancers!  While our guest faculty members are no longer active dancers in the ministry, they continue to offer their creative talents to the ministry during the season as guest choreographers and faculty.
