Apprentice

Markita grew up in Eggleston, Virginia, and began dancing at age fourteen at Westover Ballet. Although she started later than many dancers, she quickly fell in love with ballet and the creative outlet it provided her.


After attending Ballet Magnificat’s summer intensive in 2024, Markita began to see how ballet could be used as an act of worship to praise and glorify God. In the summer of 2025, she felt the Lord calling her to use ballet in ministry and that following winter, she auditioned to join Paradosi Ballet Company.


Markita is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord through her dancing and looks forward to seeing what He will do in and through her in this coming season.
