Worship Through Dance

“Let them praise His

name with dancing.”

Psalm 149:3

Paradosi is first and foremost a ministry with a heart for worship.

The name Paradosi comes from a Greek word which translates to “surrender.” This reflects our heart as a ministry to offer our gifts back to God in worship. Dance is the language we use to glorify Jesus, share His love, and invite others to experience His presence.

As a worship ministry, it is our joy to partner with churches, schools, and organizations to help lead people into deeper worship and share the hope of the Gospel. Whether it is during a regular service, a special event, or an outreach program, we seek to glorify God through every movement, testimony, and interaction.

When invited, we can offer short worship sets within an existing service or a full-length worship event, depending on your needs.

FAQ | Answers to some of the most common questions

Below are frequently asked questions we receive.  If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

  • “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed,

do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,

giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

    Colossians 3:17

Paradosi’s programs are beautifully crafted to engage hearts through the arts, but our goal is not to impress. Our goal is to point people to Jesus and create space for hearts to encounter Him.

Many guests and even church staff arrive expecting a performance, and they often leave saying, “That was not a show. That was worship.”

While what we do may resemble a performance on the surface, our heart and intention are different. We are a worship ministry. Everything we present, from the music to the movement to the testimonies, is offered to glorify Jesus and make Him known. We use dance, music, and testimony to create space for the Holy Spirit to move, whether in a church service, a care center, a school, or an outreach event. Our desire is for every person, believer or not, to encounter the love, hope, beauty, and truth of Jesus Christ.

We do not dance to entertain. We dance to worship God and to invite others into His presence.

Many of our events are designed to be invitational. Friends, neighbors, and loved ones may come because they are drawn in by the beauty of the arts, but it is Jesus we want them to meet during the experience.

We also often meet guests who would not normally step into a church, or who have been hurt by past church experiences. For some, being invited to an artistic worship program becomes a gentle first step toward returning, healing, and hearing the Gospel again.

This mission shapes everything we do, from worship sets to outreach events and partnerships with local churches.

“Through the arts we will Worship God, Love People, Share the Gospel, and Make Disciples of Jesus everywhere we go.”

  • Paradosi regularly partners with churches, ministries, and community organizations to create Christ-centered worship and outreach events, including but not limited to:

    • Church services, worship nights, and prayer gatherings
    • Women’s Ministry Events: Annual luncheon, worship night, etc
    • Youth Ministry Events
    • K–12 school chapels and assemblies
    • University chapels and campus ministry events
    • Assisted living facilities and retirement communities
    • Rehabilitation centers and homeless shelters
    • Multi-ministry outreach events and fundraisers
    • Fairs, festivals, and community events

Some hosts receive a love offering during the service, while others provide support through their missions or outreach budget.

    • Meals and lodging when needed

    Limited Resources?

We never want finances to be a barrier to sharing the Gospel through worship.

If your budget is limited and you are not able to provide a gift, please reach out. If your vision aligns with our mission and we have the availability and capacity, we would still love to explore partnership.

    Travel and Tour Support

If your event is part of a tour or located more than about two hours from our home studio in Tacoma, Washington (98409), we kindly ask the hosting organization to help with the following:

    Meals

    • Provided by the church or organization, or
    • Arranged through local restaurants, catering, or meal stipends

    Housing

    • Host homes, hotels, motels, or short-term rentals such as Airbnb or Vrbo

We are actively fundraising for a motorhome to reduce travel housing needs. Once secured, these requests may be waived for many events.

  • Paradosi is highly adaptable and has ministered in a wide variety of spaces, including churches, schools, care centers, universities, theaters, fairs, festivals, and community events. Our goal is to serve with flexibility while ensuring the safety of our team and the effectiveness of each worship opportunity.

Most churches can host us easily using their existing sound system. If you can provide a mic, an audio input, and a small private changing space, we can usually make it work.

    Stage requests

    • We can work with a wide variety of staging arrangements.
    • Smaller spaces are often workable, but some dances may be adjusted or omitted for spacing and safety.
    • Ideal stage size (not required): at least 30' wide x 20' deep, and elevated if possible.
    • When submitting a partnership request, please send photos or a simple diagram of the space so we can confirm what is possible. Please also note the flooring type (wood, carpet, linoleum, concrete, etc.).
    • We typically use your stage as-is without an additional backdrop. If requested, we can bring pipe and drape to create a black box effect.
    • We ask that the stage be as clear as possible to reduce obstacles for the dancers. We understand that not everything can be moved.
    • In some cases, we will install our Marley dance floor over your existing surface and secure it with low-tack gaffer tape. Please note that on some painted stages, tape may lift the top layer of paint. If needed, we can discuss alternatives and obtain venue approval in advance.

    Audio, lighting, and video

    Your equipment

    • Whenever possible, we use the venue’s existing audio and lighting system.
    • If a tech team is not available, our Executive Director is available to run basic audio cues and lighting changes.
    • Music can be run from our production laptop or from your system; whichever is easier for your team.
    • If we are running from our laptop, we will need a 3.5mm (1/8) audio connection to your soundboard.
    • We will need one hand held microphone for sharing from the stage, wireless or wired.

    Our equipment

    • If venue equipment is limited or unavailable, we can often provide our own audio system for smaller or less-equipped spaces (classrooms, gyms, cafeterias, multipurpose rooms).
    • We have several setups to accommodate different venues ranging from a battery-powered PA system to a full-size system with 15" active mains and subs.
    • Please note: we can only bring audio equipment when we are driving to your event. For fly-and-drive tours, audio support may be limited.

    Media options

    • Most of our programs run without projected media.
    • Some worship sets may include optional video introductions, testimonies, or conclusions.
    • When offered, video content is always optional

    Lyrics projection

    • Congregations are welcome to sing in worship with us while we dance.
    • If your congregation will sing along, please plan to display lyrics under your appropriate licensing (such as your CCLI coverage).

    Streaming

    • You are welcome to livestream or record events.
    • The venue is responsible for ensuring proper streaming licenses are in place.

    Dressing room & hospitality

    Please provide:

    • A private dressing room for dancers to change and store belongings (classroom, office, conference room, or similar).
    • Water and light backstage snacks are appreciated (examples: fruit, vegetables, granola bars, yogurt, nuts).
    • A post-performance meal is always appreciated. Dancers typically eat lightly before dancing, but after the event and strike, they are often ready for a full meal.

Food safety note (to help hosts plan well):
For everyone’s health, we ask that perishable foods be hot-held, cold-held, or not left out at room temperature for more than 2 hours (or 1 hour if the room is above 90°F).
